Concerned about Internet search results containing offensive content?

Use a Google Search Box with SafeSearch filtering turned on or customize your search preferences. Whenever Google SafeSearch filtering turned on, sites and web pages containing "adult" content are blocked from search results.

If you are using the Google Toolbar, you can quickly and easily customize your search preferences. Just click on the Google Toolbar menu and select "Search Preferences Page" from the drop-down menu to find the SafeSearch filtering options.

To verify that you are using Google SafeSearch filtering, check your search results. The message, "Searched the web for ... with Safesearch on," will appear at the top of your search results.
