Google

Google uses sophisticated text-matching techniques to find pages that are both important and relevant to your search.

In addition to providing easy access to billions of web pages, Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you are seeking.

Google Search

By default, Google only returns pages that include all of your search terms. There is no need to include "and" between terms. When Google analyzes a page, it looks at what those pages linking to that page have to say about it. Google also assigns higher relevance to pages in which your query terms appear near each other.

Google Search with SafeSearch Filtering

With SafeSearch turned on, web sites and web pages containing "adult" content are blocked from search results. Google strives to keep this filtering info as current and comprehensive as possible by continual Web crawling and by incorporating user suggestions.

Google Image Search

Google Image Search is the most comprehensive image search on the web. Google analyzes the text on the page adjacent to the image and the image caption as well as other factors to determine the image content.

Google Toolbar

Install the Google Toolbar for some versions of Internet Explorer, taking the power of Google with you anywhere on the web. The Google Toolbar is free of charge.

Google Language Tools

Use the Google Language Tools to search specific languages or countries and translate text or Web pages. You can also use the Google interface in your selected language via Preferences or visit the Google site in your own country.

Google Groups

Go to Google Groups to post and read comments in Usenet discussion forums. You can even read the past 20 years of Usenet archives with over 700 million messages that was recently integrated into Google Groups. Among the memorable articles is the announcement by Tim Berners-Lee of what would become the World Wide Web.

Google News

Read the latest Google News on a variety of topics, including World News, U.S. News, Business News, and Sci/Tech News. Use the helpful search feature provided by Google to search and browse 4,500 continuously updated news sources from around the world.

Google Sitemaps

Google Sitemaps is a free, easy way for you to submit all your web pages to the Google index and keep Google informed when you make changes to those web pages. You will also be able to get detailed reports about the visibility of your web pages on Google in order to learn more about how Google directs traffic to your web site and how the Googlebot views your web pages.

Google AdSense

If you want to maximize your web site revenue potential, consider applying for Google AdSense. Google will deliver dynamically generated ads relevant to web page content. It is easy to apply, and you can even customize the size and color of the ads for your own web site.
